Meridian takes a systematic engineering approach when developing road headings and harvest areas. Critical research at the Forest Stewardship Plan phase and a thorough topographical/timber reconnaissance of development areas ensures all forest resource features are identified and managed diligently. Our team of Senior, Assistant and Junior Engineers at Meridian are experienced with all Coastal British Columbia harvest systems: Skidder, Hoe Chuck, Grapple, High-lead, Long Line and Helicopter.

We use the industry standard Softree-Roadeng software application to produce: road cross-sections, road profiles, road earthworks and cable analysis.

Our personnel at Meridian Forest Services Ltd. have extensive experience developing and managing harvest opportunities within the urban interface. Our team works together with utility companies, Worksafe BC, Provincial and Federal Government agencies to ensure all applicable permits are in place to ensure that all harvesting operations adhere to corporate and legislated rules and regulations. These permits include: WorksafeBC “30M33”,Licence To Cut, Permission To Construct Works Within Highway Right-Of-Way, Pipeline/Right-Of –Way Crossing Applications and Logging in Proximity To Energize Lines.
