At Meridian Forest Services Ltd, we believe all incidents are preventable and are committed to exceeding client and industry legislated safety standards. We are leaders in safety and have maintained a respectable safety record within the Coastal British Columbia Forest Industry, due in part, to the guidance of our Health and Safety Program, which is implemented by a dedicated employee and management team.
The key principles of our Health and Safety Program include:
- Creating a safe workplace for employees,
- Ensuring safety incidents bulletins are communicated immediately,
- Mitigating potential safety upset conditions,
- Maintaining personal protective equipment,
- Providing personnel with safe and quality equipment/tools to ensure their well being,
- Conducting monthly safety meeting with relevant industry safety topics,
- Implementing internal safety audits,
- Continual improvement of business processes
- Providing personnel with annual Safety Training (S100 and Job Safety Breakdowns)
At Meridian, we strive for continuous improvement of our Health and Safety Program. By monitoring and auditing personnel and safety processes we can develop and implement new best management safety practices to ensure the health and welfare for those around us.
It is critical that we make "Safety" part of how we do business. By embracing best safety practices as part of our daily routine’s at work, in the community and at home with our families, we can prevent potential life altering injuries.

Safety Certification
Meridian Forest Services Ltd obtained Safe Certifications status in February 2010 through the BC Forest Safety Council.
Meridian’s parent companies, DRH Consultants (507003) and Precision West (5070031), have been Safe Certified BC Forest Safety Council for 4 years.
